Hello! I’m Julie, a designer based in Hamilton, Ontario, originally from Taiwan.
Growing up in Taiwan and living abroad taught me to see design as a way to bridge cultures and tell stories that bring people together.
I’m now studying Interaction Design at Sheridan College, exploring how design can make those connections more meaningful.

Growing up in Taiwan, I was inspired by my parents, who ran a graphic design studio and later a coffee shop in Taipei. That creative mix of visuals, people, and atmosphere sparked my love for design and my curiosity to explore its possibilities.

My design philosophy is shaped by my experiences living abroad and connecting with people from different cultures. I see design as a reflection of that diversity—each perspective offers something unique, and that’s what makes it valuable. Traveling and backpacking taught me that creativity, like culture, thrives on contrast and curiosity. I bring that mindset into my work, blending different influences to craft designs that feel authentic, expressive, and human.

When I’m not designing, you’ll probably find me hanging out with my dog, enjoying a good cup of coffee, making crafts, watering my plants, or giving old furniture a new life. I’m also a big fan of furniture and interior design, always looking for inspiration in unexpected places.
